What language does your dog speak?

Would two animals of the same type, but from different countries “speak” the same language? German and Russian cows… French and Egyptian roosters… Indian and Italian cats… Wherever you see a dog, you know what kind of a sound it will make… or not? Psychologytoday.com reports that virtually all dogs can understand the barks of other dogs, regardless of where they come from.

Ole Hantzschel is an independent graphic-designer, specializing in illustrative maps and infographics. One of his works shows how various animals are voiced by people from various countries. Although we all hear the same sound, depending on where we live, we imitate those sounds differently. The French imitate the barking of a dog as “ouah, ouah”, while Icelanders say “voff voff”.

In today’s commercial world, the borders between countries are diminishing more and more. Planning to market your products and services abroad is a necessary approach – even at the startup stage of your company.

To penetrate any export market, one needs to meet some conditions and obey certain rules. However, one important point to remember is that in those countries the barking of dogs is imitated differently. In other words, the key points you need to make about your products and services may be different in different territories.

As you plan your exports, you should think about the extent of the local resources to be included in your organization.

Talk the wrong way to a dog, and you might get bitten. ☺
