Perfect inches

I was waiting for this. And I was wondering why nobody has done it yet. I was asking myself if the musicians were really so little influenced by what they see around themselves. The song I’d been waiting for surfaced with the following lyrics:

‘Cause every inch of you is perfect
From the bottom to the top…

According to the Journal of American Medicine 34.9% of Americans (making up approximately 78.6 million people) is obese. And these people have to live with this fact while the media and their social circles remind them every day about obesity. It is not possible for most of them not to feel bad about their bodies.

I was pondering, how come nobody came forward yet to consider this group of consumers as their target market and tried to put them at ease. Just then Meghan Trainor began to shake the lists with her song, All About That Bass. You may like or dislike the song… this isn’t important at all. Success is guaranteed for the lyrics of this song, irrespective of the music accompanying the words. Only in US, these words bring happiness to 80 million people.

Sometimes the market you have been seeking for could have been staying for years right in front of you. Just like everybody else you might have been pouring out compositions for the utopian state of a size 0 body. If you look somewhat carefully, you will note that the reality is calling out to you.
